Welcome to tumblrmigration, a resource community put together by a long-time tumblr user who once upon a time was really disappointed to have to leave LiveJournal to go to tumblr, rather than dreamwidth.

My hope is that the apparent death of tumblr as an appropriate home for fandom might rekindle some of the good things about fandom that were lost in the LJ-to-tumblr transition such as an attitue that favors posting and engaging over reblogging and liking. That is the purpose of this community: to facilitate you finding people to do that with, rather than typing into an apparent void. While I cannot promise that this resource will be complete or perfect, I hope to facilitate a smooth transition and a place for you to meet others on this platform, should you be giving it a try as a tumblr alternative. Especially if you've spent your whole fandom/internet life on tumblr, it might feel like a step backward, but I am really hoping we can help each other out!

Rules.

✰ Practice kindness and empathy. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Don't be an asshole. Easy, right?

✰ This community is set so anyone can post, but posts must be approved through a moderation queue before they are posted. The reason for this is to prevent a lot of redundant posts. You can post freely in the comments of any post, but we want the actual posts themselves to be reasonably clear and useful for a long period of time rather than getting buried.

✰ When seeking out friends and mutuals, try to focus on what you do like rather than what you hate. This isn't a place for "Anti" groups to band together. Unless an activity or interest referenced here poses a real danger to an actual person, don't police other people's interests. Practice positivity!

✰ If you do see someone endorsing something that is: illegal, harmful to another real and living person, focused on harassment of someone, or which otherwise seems to create an issue, please contact staff through the page-a-mod post.
