• Python tumblr backup by bbolli/the Unmutual: https://github.com/bbolli/tumblr-utils/blob/master/tumblr_backup_for_beginners.md#tumblr-backup-101 - A utility to help you back up your tumblr to your computer. Bear in mind that if, like me, you had been on tumblr for years, the file might be HUGE, but I definitely found it worth it. It will take a few hours, probably, but can run in the background, so I would settle in and do something that isn't hugely demanding on your computer otherwise so that it can run without your computer going to sleep or turning on its screensaver as this will interrupt the process. There doesn't seem to be a way to start where you left off; if it messes up, as it did the first time I tried it, the only real way to go back and do it again is to go and delete the folder it made and start over using the instructions for the Command Prompt part only.

2017revival - A community established in 2017 to attempt to revive the use of Dreamwidth. Of course, tumblr hadn't become quite so determined to fail at that point, so it perhaps didn't gain as much traction as it had hoped, but it is still around. At the time of being added to this list, it had been updated in the past 9 weeks.

addme - A general community for finding friends, perhaps geared more towards those who plan to post about everyday life or topics which are not always fandom-centric. At the time of being added to this list, it had been updated in the past day.

addme_fandom - A fandom-based community for finding friends who share fandom interests with you.

add_a_writer - A community to find friends who also write. This is a friending-only community and is not a place to directly post your work or get critique.
